I haven't read this thread in its entirety, so I apologize if the following thoughts have been offered earlier.
The practical impact of the Thomas comments has been to deflect public attention from Israel's war crime.
And so we are left to conclude that Ms. Thomas, witting or not, is an accessory to that crime.
"Question the timing" is to the investigators of intelligence operations what "follow the money" was to the investigators of Watergate -- which itself was an intel op, by the by.
