It is bull shit that Von Braun was allowed to be passed of as an expedient paper Nazi as he was not just a Nazi but in the SS as can be seen here with him in SS uniform. To be in the SS you had to be a serious kind of Nazi not a week end warrior type. I think if it was the Brits that had got hold of him first instead of the US 324th Regiment Anti-Tank Company his later career may have been different. With allies like the US who needs Nazis?
