Personally I don't think it makes a jot of difference who leads which party - the part-political charade having been reduced to just that - a charade. And a well-proven, finely-honed method of dividing the Sheeple into tribal factions the better to distract them from what is really going on by having them exhaust themselves fighting over trivia.
Good article though. It's just that Barnett seem to assume that the power of the party 'in power' is somehow real and that hidden permanent government power is minimal to non-existent - instead of the other way around. He is joining in the game of charades IOW.
Quite entertaining though.
