"Der Spiegel" is actually not the worst on the Gladio issue. A quick keyword search finds a 12/2005 article on Gansers book (here, in German) and the Aldo Moro murder (here, in German) among around 10 others.

But the Springer-Press and also TV is mostly silent on this and I would guess that 90% of the German populace never heard the word Gladio.
