Everyone,
Let's not let this get out of hand.
I've told almost everything I know; I've redacted my correspondent's name, the city in which Webster allegedly resided, and nothing else.
Except for the name of the researcher who I seem to recall actually visited Webster at that location. I refrain from identifying same because I'm not positive that the meeting ever happened.
Again, let's not jump to conclusions. Instead, let's think carefully and determin how we might proceed.

If an individual, through either his own volition or events over which he had no control, found himself taking up residence in a country undefined by flags or physical borders, he could be assured of one immediate and abiding consequence: He was on his own, and solitude and loneliness would probably be his companions unto the grave.
-- James Lee Burke, Rain Gods
You can't blame the innocent, they are always guiltless. All you can do is control them or eliminate them. Innocence is a kind of insanity.
