Bailout Recipients Hosted Call To Defeat Key Labor Bill
#2
Quote:Is there anyone left who doubts that organized labor is the arch enemy of the MIC?

Not me Myra. I am completely with you on this.

Yeah, it's well beyond chutzpah, isn't it? All these years trying to destroy the state now they desperately need the state to get the bail out money into their coffers because they've fucked up big time and they still want to blame someone else.

Quote:Bernie Marcus, the charismatic co-founder of Home Depot, led the call along with Rick Berman, an aggressive EFCA opponent and founder of the Center for Union Facts. Over the course of an hour, the two framed the legislation as an existential threat to American capitalism, or worse.
Capitalism just has to do what capitalism does and it will still self destruct. It is not sustainable in the long term regardless. Workers have nothing to do with it. If they are paid anything at all it will still be too much for these guys. And workers can never work long enough. Then they would still call workers 'lazy'. However, workers and their labor are the neccessary part of the creation of wealth. No worker no wealth created. And the completely unneccessary component in the process is the 'owner' and shareholders. Production can all be done with out them and still happen. Workers can build the facories, run the factories make the products, sell the products and distribute the money from the sale of the products all on their own. No one else is needed to live off their labor. And these guys know how utterly superfluous and dispensible they are to the process. That's why they are so scared and will fight like a cornered wild cat.

We've had the same thing happening here. Disempowering the unions, abolition of industrial bargaining, keeping them out of work places, making it more difficult to join them, demonising them as thugs, prosecuting them for doing their job, the whole lot. The new regieme called by the Orwellian name of 'Work Choices" and the government that brought it in was thrown out at the last federal election. Significant remants of it remain though and will likely stay. We also had all the ads on tv showing the scary thugs from the unions coming to terrorise workers and workplaces and what great guys bosses really are. They are your best friend. Same thing that The Center for Union Facts is doing there (another Orwellian name). Some of the local actors in the ads didn't end up getting paid after all their work creating propaganda for the 'nice' bosses and they got pissed off and went to the media about it. :dong:
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.
