One of the more interesting aspects of the situation in Chicago is the fact that two of those suspects connected to the assassination both worked for the Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock band) as bus drivers.
Homer Echevera and Ralph Meyers both were Chicago bus drivers at one time.
Ralph Meyers was in the Army and worked with the Army Security Agency in Turkey,
at the NSA listening post that was also used as a U2 staging area.
He then left the military and became a Chicago bus driver for awhile before moving to Mexico City to work as a journalist. His mother and father, who owned a Pepsi dealership in New York, visited him in Mexico City shortly before attending the Pepsi convention in Dallas on the weekend of the assassination.
His father and uncle Larry Meyers, met at the Cabana Motel Pepsi party on the night before the assassination (See: Harmonic Convergence at the Cabana Lounge), when Jack Ruby stopped by and joined them.
Jack and Larry Meyers were friends, and had their mutual roots in Chicago as their connection.
Someone suggested that the job with CTA was considered "sheep dipping" after working for military and intl, and before embarking on another mission or operation, so as to be divorced from the previous intelligence assignment.
Penn Jones has suggested that Ralph Meyer was also registered at the Cabana Motel the night before the assassination.
Mary Ferrel says that Ralph Meyers was in Mexico studying the ancient Indian tribes for a book he was working on, but I've never been able to find a book about the Aztecs or Incas by him.
Ralph Meyers is still alive and is one of the dozens of witnesses who should be called to testify before a new grand jury or Congressional hearing.
