Yes, the bosses are using it as an opportunity to destroy working conditions locally. As Myra noted in Yahoos move to sack several thousand US 'high' paid workers and move the jobs to 'low' paid countries. In the case of the UK rather than move the jobs off shore (because they can't) it seems they are importing workers from Italy and other places. Unemployment is no doubt being created in Italy by businesses too. Hence a surplus of workers prepared to work in the UK and live on a barges. The unions and the left need to focus on the bosses putting this in action and government policy which permits this to happen. All workers are screwed where ever they come from.
