KNOW THAT COMPUTER GENERATED DOCUMENTS CAN BE
REVERSE ENGINEERED to retrace the steps of creation.
Here is a video of a computer reverse engineering which shows
that the faked document was created using ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR.
The operator shows that a technique called LAYERING was used
to assemble the various components. Watch as the computer peels
away various layers.

This is fraud at the presidential level. Despite Dawn and Peter
being willing to "excuse" Obama with a pass on this, it is an
IMPEACHABLE CRIME. Not to use a racial pun, but "the jig is up!"
He has committed a crime.
Even if not so, the presented document PROVES Obama is not
"native born", since it lists only ONE parent who is a US citizen.
The constitution says BOTH PARENTS MUST US CITIZENS.
This issue is NOT settled. With Obama joining the fight, it has
barely begun.

This rises to the level of Fetzer's notion that the government would use a particle beam weapon to bring down a private plane when a common wrench would have done just as well. If you're going to fake a birth certificate from 1961, you obtain a blank copy of the certificate and then type in the relevant information. Add a few signatures and you have it.
And where oh where does this notion of a "computer generated document" come from? All you have is a scan of the document--a series of pixels. There ARE NO layers. Even if there had been originally, you couldn't "reverse engineer" them from a computer image. The very fact that the guy in the video ends up with white spaces where the type was removed should have told you this.
Mr. Franklin clearly does not know what he is talking about.
Computer experts do know.

Jack clearly didn't bother to read the comments. Mr. Franklin, though not one of Jack's mythical "computer experts," knows what OCR is. Just a sampling of the comments for the video:
- Already debunked Gawker dot com
It's called OCR (optical character recognition). Acrobat and many scanners do this by default. It detects letters and words on the page and allows you to add selectable text to the document without having to type it in manually.
Notice how when you hide a layer, it's white behind it? If it was truly forged, you wouldn't see any of the background missing. It's white because it doesn't know what's behind the text BECAUSE THE TEXT WAS THERE WHEN IT WAS SCANNED.

- YOU'RE AN IDIOT! YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN DEBUNKED!
- scanning an image, converting it to a PDF, optimizing that PDF, and then opening it up in Illustrator, does in fact create layers similar to what is seen in the birth certificate PDF. You can try it yourself at home.

And again, in case anybody missed it the first time, IF this is a forgery, and I am not making a case either way, it is the good old fashioned kind. Do you seriously think that the minions of the president of the United States are incapable of laying their hands on a blank 1960s era Hawaiian birth certificate or even having one printed up? And do you not understand that there are still manual typewriters in circulation? Why do these folks insist on turning a low-tech operation like a forgery into a high-tech computer generated one?
And the appeal to authority: "Computer experts do know," just boggles my mind. This is the last thing I would expect on a forum that claims to be about deep politics. As Jim Fetzer would say, "This is astonishing!"
