My previous post was pure speculation about how a gravity driven collapse could be initiated.
One would need to consider the much broader question of how the perps wanted to control the magic show and the media which would spread the narrative and support it. My suspicion is that this was to be the mother of all media events in the tradition of McLuhan. So I suspect there was due consideration on how to get the most bang for the buck so to speak.
I don't know anything about explosives or incendiaries and especially the type, size and "power" of same to do the damage required. However, I think we can assume the plane strike WERE part of "the plan" if nothing else to make the hijacker to islamic fundamentalist connection.
But they may have done MORE than establish the link to a fall guys. Perhaps (PURE SPECULATION) they were the detonators as it were for the pre planted explosives/incendiaries. Let's assume that those explosives were above the plane strike zone AND fire would typically spread upward. We did see that I believe and perhaps the flames from the exploding planes fuel tanks ignited the pre planted incendiaries which then began to attack the key locations of the steel so that it would both unload some and upload other columns which would lead to a progressive and rapid column failure once the safety factor (yield strength) was exceeded. It would at the same time begin to sever the floor to column connections at the core side... there were only 24 and at most 28 of them... so burning them off... cutting them would also overload the ones which weren't attacked and these too would reach the yield point and rapidly fail. The later floor failures likely came first.. but it took 4 or 5 floor masses to really kick off a ROOSD. You don't smoke at a gas station because you can set of a huge fire/explosion and so perhaps the planes acted in a similar manner to ignite the pre planted devices which would take varyng times to "do the job"... so it wasn't a BANG and the towers fall... but a progressive failure until is "let go" because what was left was overwhelmed.
