Wikileaks cables relating to "AfPak" have numerous mentions of the KPF.
UK Channel 4's current affairs programmes Dispatches has identified the KPF as the Khost Provincial Force (or Khowst Provincial Force), which appears to be a sort of CIA-funded direct action group on the ground.
