I'll bet they'd say it was for the same reason the LAPD gave for getting 'rid' of the prime [!!] piece of evidence of more than one shooter in the the RFK assassination - the door frame and ceiling panels [which contained all too many bullet holes!]....the LAPD officially said it was done ONLY to 'save space'. So, I'll posit that the CIA got rid of the files you refer to ONLY to 'save space' :moon:
