I've heard a totally different story about Roswell, and it certainly wouldn't have been Soviet! I also agree with those here and disagree with the author that the CIA has anything whatsoever to do with Peace or preventing war - quite the opposite. As I understand it, while CIA things may be tested there, it is not a CIA facility. Yes, the book sounds less than a 'breakthrough', just thought I'd throw it out there and let people react to it. I personally have driven all around the area, and one time participated in a demonstration at the main gate of the Nuclear Test Area, run by the AEC and Military. While we were out in the middle of the dessert and there were no buildings visible anywhere in a landscape where you could see for many miles [mountains were visible in the distance in all directions], there were many [several hundred] angry guards - armed and Ninja-suited awaiting us. In the background were armored wagons to haul those away they wanted to arrest and take to L.V. It was a peaceful demo and none tried to even cross the fence lines [barbed wire, but the kind one could easily have crossed]. Some were arrested anyway. Land of free speech and the right to redress grievances - ha! On the way home, my car was buzzed by a killer 'copter bristling with guns and rocket pods.....just the locals being friendly.angryfire
