While the number and exact names are NOT [yet] known, I think it is clear and logical that MANY did die that day - in the buildings, around the buildings and maybe on flights [whatever their real nature]. It seems clear, at this point, that some to most of the 'calls' made by flight victims were faked. I think most of the families grieving lost loved ones are NOT acting. Maybe a few acts were performed. The whole event shows the callousness to life - even for some in the Pentagon - who must to my thinking have been on the real perps 'good-guys' list. It would take only ONE find of a death from that date that is still alive; or that they had died another way and/or another time and place to really unravel much of the ball of lies. Much about Dallas really didn't come clear for many years - well over ten for some aspects. They had so much time to advance their techniques and control over how things were/are perceived. On the dead, the non-recording of some deaths by the Govt. I think one has to think outside of the box. It is, however, clear that thousands died on or near that day. An exact accounting may be difficult - it is the kind of thing a Government could easily do - but have proven themselves unwilling to do so. It is very suspicious even if you believe the official version, and a thousand times more so, if you do not.
