Interesting that the PBS program I just watched on this suggests Ivins might not have been guilty but then fails to mention a high tech DNA sample from the virus showed it came from a US lab Ivins could not have accessed therefore exonerating him. Why would PBS omit this information?

Why?! If they had 'gone there' it wouldn't have been broadcast - or produced. PBS is funded by the oil companies and a few other big corporations, i.e. the Oligarchy.

Agreed. What kills me about American media is the pretense of faked journalism as if they were genuinely seeking-out the truth. I've come to realize American journalism is pure lip service designed to pass along the bad news to the public so they can get used to it.

As I'm sure Jan could speak more eloquently on than I, there are multiple methods used at different times and at different 'news' orgs. Sometimes the reporters and researchers do decent work and then find [to their surprise] someone has edited out those parts offending to TPTB; other times there is self-censorship, the crew knowing what will get them a bonus v. what will get them loosing their jobs; yet other times the team is behind the idea of presenting a Potemkin Village view of reality.
