This is not aimed at Albert Doyle's post above textually or personally.
I am not going to try to explain "Scott Creighton" or defend him. I posted it because it was a statement in the absence, almost literally, of any discussion about the issue or the legislation. One earlier article was entitled "Where is the outrage?". But anyone who has been paying attention for any length of time must see that our civil liberties have been stripped from us, that the American people (and especially any who are outspoken critics of its foreign and domestic policies) are fair game for the robotic or fleshy intimidators, assassins, or marginalization specialists, and that those performing critical tasks in perception management debunking are likely targets. No matter how anyone tries to cast, frame, perceive or explain what is going on now, this much is clear; the world is at war. Most of the conflict up to this moment is localized, on-the-ground, or in the form of carefully-clouded statements in the press or cyber-space. In America itself, it appears to be leading to a civil war certain people would like to actualize for various reasons. I have said elsewhere that everyone should be operating in real time, in cyber-space, with an IFF beanie that can be read from a distance and which clearly identifies orientation, rank, intent, etc. This will never happen, of course, for the small people in the cheap seats. It will only happen if you are in command of a surveillance tool that is omniscient; these belong to the state, the corporatocracy, not the individual(s).
But it is also clear that it is time, at a deep personal level, for everyone to conduct a thorough self-examination to understand what it is or who it is that they are, and what they stand for.

Yes, it's no use saying that you don't know nothing
It's still gonna get you if don't do something
Sitting on a fence that's a dangerous course
Oh, you could even catch a bullet from the peace-keeping force
