So much for the right to protest. At your own peril. And God forbit you should actually front a peace group. My old pal Carl Oblesby knew for decades that there were FBI (etc.) files on him from when he was president of SDS and later speaking out against the Kennedy assassination. When he was finally successful in getting his FBI file via freedom of info lawsuit, the boxes filled his guest room. I strongly suspect things have only gotten worse.
And now you can be held indefinately without charge on the president's say so. I heard yesterday that Obama is dropping the NAME "enemy combatant" but not the damn program. That was the final nail in his coffin for me. "Change we can believe in" ya right.
