Thanks, Jan. No need for apologies, CD, when perceptions differ so widely; the objective is to tack those perceptions to the board along with documentation and to keep an open mind while other confirmable facts trickle in. You and others can have a different opinion without causing any pain to me or you.
I do, however, disagree with your idea that that perception diminishes those who hold it, and that it diminishes a man who was -- however excellent, loved and even revered he is and was by many -- a mortal and flawed man (aren't we all?!).
But he believed in redemption, and worked toward it. As do we.
