I'd have to see paraffin test results for Crump before believing he did it. Did they even bother taking one or did it come up negative so they buried it? The Mitchell/Crump assassin/patsy set-up is mirrored in RFK and maybe Lennon. And definitely JFK.
The thing has spook job written all over it. Once you couldn't find either Mitchell or the gun you have to assume black op. Did anyone do an analysis of Crump's movements to see if it was feasible he could completely lose the gun?
