And then there's David Rockefeller who claims that only the rich are capable of governing. I believe the Rockefellers were strict Baptists. When I was a Visiting Investigator at the Rockefeller Instritute for Medical Research in 1955, before it became Rockefeller University for graduate-level students only, there were very strict rules about the use of alcohol (no drinking allowed on the grounds), and I suppose no dancing or card playing. Strange place. I imagine that the bars on York and First Avenues in New York City did a brisk business because there was no social life at the Institute that I could see at that time. However, things changed by 1969, and a lounge had been created on campus with its own bartender, and dance music orchesras were hired for convocation celebrations.
