I think I recognize your red pill/blue pill journey Peter. I suspect we all do. And it reminds me of the pregnant moment in Oliver Stone's film JFK when Garrison (Kevin Costner) arguing with his wife because his eyes had been opened - and once opened he was unable to close them again and it caused him great torment.
