Seamus Coogan Wrote:I agree with CD here. Certain people were involved from these agencies (they had to have been) but to say their institutions were 'behind it' is a bit much. They are all guilty of covering their asses after of course. I do believe there was mention of some kind of drill the SS were participating in that day in Palamara's book, but I'd have to re-read it again Vasilios. But Mark V Palamara is one of the best sources for the SS that day by a mile. Another good stop after is Pam Browns work on the Limo.
The "drill" of which Seamus writes was security stripping -- another key concept in understanding how and why the motorcade was rendered "uniquely insecure."

If an individual, through either his own volition or events over which he had no control, found himself taking up residence in a country undefined by flags or physical borders, he could be assured of one immediate and abiding consequence: He was on his own, and solitude and loneliness would probably be his companions unto the grave.

You can't blame the innocent, they are always guiltless. All you can do is control them or eliminate them. Innocence is a kind of insanity.
