Oh, that IS a CRACK in the 'wall' of propaganda! PBS will suffer for that, but the more important thing is many who would never see that film [I have it, and have seen it, and is quite persuasive....will at least bring HUGE doubt into any intelligent person and anger at the government (if not fear) for having ignored - really covered this whole area up!!!! Now, finally, at least the educated in America will be aware that THREE world trade towers all collapsed the same very strange way and that molten metal [and thermite residue] were found in what was left..........

Any link between this and Romney wanting to cut funding for PBS? (NOTE; I am not claiming Romney was in any way involved on or in 9/11)

What I have recently learned about Mitt Romney (see recent postings under ROMNEY topic here at DPF), I would not be surprisedarn if he was.

Romney involved in 911, or in his wanting to cut funding to PBS? Romney and his political ilk 'the Reich of the Reich of the Republicans have always tried to stop funding and eliminate by means legal and illegal ALL public broadcasting and all funds for it. Pacifica radio has long been targeted. PBS has been defanged and defunded, with people like Bill Moyers attacked on all fronts. It is very toothless, at best....but way above 'normal' TV. NPR, another LIberal bastion [NOT a progressive one!] has also been defunded and bought-out. PBS was long ago bought out to a large degree by large corporations who have their 'no advertising' ads clearly displayed between programs. Ditto NPR. Despite this, the ultra-Reich wants them gone completely, as they sometimes still do investigative journalism and sometimes question the status quo and what the rulers have done and said or not done and not said. Romney is a Neaderthal Reactionary cum Fascist and Cultist. The USA will not last long if he becomes President! AS bad as Obama is and has been, with him we still have a fighting chance. They are the two wings of the one party state - not much difference on the end goals, but quite different on the means, speed and civility. America is going NO WHERE unless and until we get rid of both of those outdated and completely controlled and compromised parties IMHO. We need to change the Constitution [if it is still in effect - which it may well not be (secretly) - pre-empted by COG] to have PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION and mandatory voting, IMO.

I think we are already there. My read is that Obama's role is to be the setup for a Romneyesque presidency. Is he still of use? Has he finished his job? Is he still of use?

I see two possibilities. Obama is given the presidency, which will be used in a strategy of tension to strengthen reactionary movements. Things are intended to to get a lot worse. Or the election will be given to Romney as TPTB go "all in" as you describe. Forcusing on Romney's Mormonism will serve as a distraction. He is serving the same masters as GWB and Obama. They are not Mormon, IMO.
