I'm sorry but I fail to understand how them being in DP in these films is a red herring... and noone is saying it's them... we're just trying to do a reasonable comparison.

If I may: Jan is suggesting that this footage is the red herring -- a subtle but all-important distinction.

I brought this djinn to DPF because it previously had been let out of the bottle and could not be allowed to wreak havoc without voices of reason bringing forward the likelihood that it is a provocation.

I wrote "likelihood," not "certainty."

Reasonable analysis of the footage presented in advance of a Fetzerian rush to judgment is, in my opinion, the best way to expose the operation -- if that's what it is.

And right now, I'm of the just-shy-of-firm opinion that it is.

By all means let's continue to evaluate -- with the utmost of caution.

And, of course, out in the open.
