And that is just what it cost in dollars. What it cost is immeasurable and can never be paid back or made good. Lives losts, orphans, widows and widowers created. Broken hearts broken minds and broken bodies. Infrastructure that makes a civilised life and human dignity possible all destroyed. Culture and communities obliterated. Mass poverty and destitution. Toxic depleted uranium everywhere. Hopes and dreams and futures lost for generations. While others wallow in their blood money.
