Stockman has always been a debt reduction hawk. He served a purpose in the early Reagan administration and then was eased out. After all, Cheney said, 'Reagan showed that debt doesn't matter.'
In terms of the issue of debt, viewed through the weaponization of debt lens, this massive amount of debt is not a mistake but a policy.
