I have to say I did like his quote "the warfare state". For me that now sums up Uncle Sam to a 't'. If you look at every war the US has started or been involved in going back to WWII, the figure must now be close to 100.
Of course, Uncle's Poodle does some of this too, but it's becoming evident in Blighty that the military can no longer be afforded and are being cut back.
