Liberty and freedom are long past. They went with 911 and were on the way out a couple of decades earlier than that.
Right-teee-ho. My brief post inadequately intended to use italics to communicate too much. Rephrasing: as illusory as the American way of life is, the desruction of that illusion requires a replacement. The Strategy of Tension (ver. C) targets American culture (Western culture?) with the purpose of replacing it with a version of neo-fascism.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort.
