Magda Hassan Wrote:Not wanting to divert things but I am very curious to know what Posner's work on Mengele was about?
The book is called
"Mengele: The Complete Story" by
Gerald L. Posner and John Ware
It is a fine example of limited modified hangout; telling truthfully about his Nazi days; omitting any help he may have 'obtained' by Vatican, Ratlines or Western intelligence in getting to and remaining hidden in S. America; and then totally lying about his death and exhumation - which was much played up just before the book came out [uncanny timing one might say!]. That's the very short version. Maybe sometime when I'm in the mood, I'll try to recreate the long posts I did at the EF on Tony's detective work in finding Mengele; where and when he actually died, and who hid and helped him all those years...its not a pretty picture!
