Kennedy's assassination and announced how 5,000tickets to the Nov. 22 event will be distributed.Residents can enter a random drawing for the free tickets atwww.50thhonoringjohnfkennedy.com. There is a two-ticket limit perapplication, and the tickets may not be transferred."It is very important to The 50th Committee and the City of Dallas that thisevent is free and open to the public, and this ticketing process allows usto do that," Mayor Mike Rawlings said. "People from all walks of life andviewpoints from around the world will be able to join us in commemoratingthe life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy."More than half of the tickets to the 11:45 a.m. observance at downtown'sDealey Plaza will be awarded to residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The rest will be issued to out-of-towners, government officials, civicleaders and the media.Applicants will be screened by Dallas police and notified about whether they'll get a ticket
