Nikolas Schreck is an American musician, author, film-maker and religious teacher.

Founder and frontman of the experimental occult band Radio Werewolf from 19841993, Schreck is also the author of several books on true crime, cinema, literature, and magic. He directed the documentary Charles Manson Superstar[1] and has appeared in several other documentaries and films. He is married to Zeena Schreck (formerly Zeena LaVey).

Before his conversion to Tantric Buddhism, and his renunciation of Satanism, Schreck was a prominent black magician who worked closely in the late 1980s with Church of Satan founder Anton Lavey, although he was not a member of the Church.[citation needed] Schreck and his wife Zeena co-directed the Werewolf Order and were high-ranking members of the Temple of Set before resigning with several others due to religious and administrative differences. In 2002, Schreck co-founded the Sethian Liberation Movement (formerly the Storm) which is currently located in Berlin.

Schreck's "The Manson File" (1988) is a thorough study of the philosophy, music and spiritual ideas of Charles Manson. The book brings Manson's previously obscure ATWA ecology concept and his religious devotion to the Gnostic god Abraxas to public attention. Schreck posited that the demonization of Manson (and perhaps the martyrdom of Manson by other groups) is the result of media sensationalism.

Zeena Schreck was born in San Francisco, California to Anton LaVey (April 11, 1930-October 29, 1997), and Diane Hegarty (b. July 10, 1942- ), co-founders of the Church of Satan. On May 23, 1967, at the age three years old, Zeena had the most highly publicized Satanic baptism in history performed by her father.[4][5]

From 19851990, she was the High Priestess and spokesperson of the Church of Satan. In 1990 she resigned from the Church of Satan and renounced LaVeyan Satanism.[2][1] She is also the former High Priestess of the Temple of Set, and the co-director of the Werewolf Order and Radio Werewolf, which she led with her husband, musician and author Nikolas Schreck. She is known from the 1980s through her active role publicly defending her religious path in the mass media against allegations of Satanic ritual abuse.
