Indeed, his speech is so totally outside acceptable mainstream political discourse, that I've just spent some time checking that he really did say those words.
I can't find Ban Ki-Moon's call for Israel to be stripped of UN membership in any MSM source. Even Reuters, which reports some of his comments on May 11 on Israel, does not carry that statement:
