I'm far from convinced they did - and you write your post as if it is a 'given', accepted by all, or even most. You'll have to make an argument that these events happened, presenting your evidence or reasons for believing so. I am aware of some anomalies that have been brought up over the years [no blood seen on his clothes; wound seemingly in the wrong place; apparent changes between those seen in the autopsies and exhumations of 'Oswald', etc.], but I don't currently believe and don't recall being presented with a substituted [beyond what Armstrong has posited] 'Oswald' nor a 'exchanged head' [although there has been some previous speculation of a substituted corpse or a tampered with one].
