I no doubt lost some friends over the years for mentioning C.D. as a Nazi enclave in S. Chile and also as a Pinochet/Condor concentration/extermination camp [who generally thought it a paranoid fantasy made out of whole cloth]. Amazing that Germany has not moved against those members who returned. Chile has done better, but obviously not gone the whole way, as there are still those in Chile in powerful places who protect the image of Pinochet and that period of dictatorship. The US Govt. and CIA MUST have KNOWN all about C.D. - and likely used it on occassion; after all they were the major engine behind the Pinochet coup. A very sad chapter. One has to wonder how many other such places there are scattered around the World today. :: I believe I had first heard about it from Mae Brussell long, long ago.
