The stupidity of hiring the Hells' Angels for security (which seems to have been a joint Stones/Grateful Dead decision) - did anyone really think that because they were part of (a different) counterculture, that meant they were interested in peace, love and justice? They essentially invited gangsters to "guard" a bunch of passive, drugged-out hippies who had been taking bad acid.
