Something is surely being covered up here.
If the plane had exploded in the air or crash-landed then the seismic/thermal effects would have been picked up by satellites. If it had dumped in the sea then it would have been found within a matter of hours.
Either the plane has completely disintegrated or it has been "disappeared", in the same way that some planes involved in 9/11 may have been.
