This is the latest and clearest information [?!] on why the officials are saying the plane went South. It is logical IF and only IF the data points are correct. At this time, we have no way to know...it is a matter of trust or not trusting until we know more. It is likely [but not certain by any means] that they are correct - although on the pilot forum there are some who have noted discrepancies in different reports as to the data. This will only be 'solved' by an independent investigation - something unlikely and nearly impossible in our overly politicized and secretive world.
