Karen King is not saying that Jesus had a wife or that Jesus did not have a wife. That is unknowable. The date on this fragment is somewhere between the 4th and 8th century. It really says nothing about the historical Jesus. (It would be a lot more interesting if it were first century fragment.)
All this article says is that there is a fragment written by someone which says that Jesus had a wife. Now that the fragment is accepted as not a fraud, scholars will write papers on it discussing its proper interpretation. The fragment will find its place amongst the many early works that did not make it into the New Testament canon. It is just one more small piece in a big puzzle.
