"Pacific Architects & Engineers Applied Technologies Wins $44.58 Million Federal Contract from U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division
Nov 22 13
Pacific Architects & Engineers Applied Technologies was awarded a $44,577,164 federal contract by the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., for the development, testing, and installation of the SureTrak Surveillance System for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and governments in Africa under the foreign military sales program."
You may have heard of SureTrak:
SureTrak is a multi-sensor, fully integrated, data acquisition and display system. SureTrak combines waterway, airspace and environmental monitoring systems in an open architecture, highly scaleable design that can be fielded on inexpensive Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) platforms running Windows operating systems.
The SureTrak suite of integrated data systems incorporates an ever-increasing number of sensors, including a variety of air and surface surveillance radars, thermal and daylight cameras, GPS transponders and environmental monitors. With so much data available in a single system, the SureTrak development team has gone to great lengths to provide operators with the most intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
SureTrak's sophisticated alarm module and fully integrated database can be used to alert operators to developing situations or to immediate threats involving airborne aircraft or vessels afloat. With the network-centric data service, important tactical data can be disseminated via secure internet portals or wireless/local area networks to other agencies or forces in the field.
