It is a great book, about an important [and horrible program - which ALSO included the murder of US and Allied troops, on occasions!]. Valentine is a great researcher and writer. I have the book, but few do. I know about the program, but most Americans do not. Yes, I agree with Valentine that the Phoenix program served as a template for the current War of Terror - which is the Phoenix Program on steroids and made worldwide! That Phoenix was connected by persons to those involved in the JFK [and other] assassinations is chilling and informative. These types care not about torture nor killing of innocents - if it serves their financial and geopolitical goals.
