Records of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) United States, published Friday by the newspaper El Siglo, expose a role that was unknown until the U.S. embassy in flight from justice that began in 1982, Sebastián Piñera. The series of documents issued on an exclusive basis by the weekly, including one stating that Piñera's father was a collaborator of the spy agency since 1965 and his brother Joseph, Minister of Labor and Mining of Pinochet, was his Contributor direct financial analyst.
The documents, which reproduces facsimiles El Siglo, described a meeting of Latin American affairs minister counselor for the U.S. embassy in Chile, George Jones, the father of Piñera and his cousin, Herman Chadwick Pinera, out of the country.
Another document says that, at the request of then U.S. ambassador, James Theberge, the CIA took over operation of a 'break' that led to the departure of the country's protected operative Piñera, Buenos Aires by air, bound for Mexico, where they remained under the protection of Fernando Quijano.
The weekly claims that Quijano, of Mexican nationality, is not only linked to extreme right organizations, but also a neo-fascist networks, such as the International Labor Committees, the Ibero-American Solidarity Movement (MSIA) and the National Union Sinarquista.
