I see lots of personal attacks, dubious assertions and straw man arguments here but very little substance.
If a person is acting in good faith to establish the truth in a given situation then they should put personal feelings aside and utilise the best tools available to them to achieve that goal. Sacrificing logic and intellectual rigour for the sake of petty point-scoring and internecine conflict is the kind of behaviour which keeps a research community in a state of stagnation for over 50 years.
That is (probably) the last comment I have to make on the subject.
