They also featured in The Continuing Inquiry by Mary Ferrell in 1977. However, it seems that Mary only "reconstructed" his tax affairs based on income from employment declared within the 26 volumes of the WC. She finishes the article by saying that only the disclosure of hisactual tax record would settle the argument as to whether or not he received income and/or expenses from the FBI or any other agency.

I'm told that Mary Ferrell did actually see the tax return. She was given a copy by Marina and found that it was within a few dollars of the calculations mentioned in the above link. However, I am unable to verify this.
