Doug, please be aware that I'm not trying to steal your thunder and, indeed, would welcome further posts and info from you.

However, since Bill Tyrone forms part of this thread, I though I would post the sealed affidavit of Dee Ferdinand (nee Carone), the daughter of the late Colonel Albert Carone. Col. Carone was simultaneously, prior to his death/murder, a made man of the Genovese mafia crime family, a New York cop, a serving officer in the US Army (intelligence and counter-intell) and a CIA operator. He worked for Ollie North. It makes for fascinating reading.

Good stuff. This is exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. I'd be interested to see if there is still a working beacon system which allows safe passage into the US, without being disturbed by customs. Considering CIA planes are following that exact route, from Andros to West Palm Beach, and considering the infrastructure at AUTEC, it seems plausible that the Watchtower route could still be active.

I have a vague memory that says the beacons were removed at the end of the operation, but I can't remember where I came across this tidbit now, I'm afraid.
