Very few close observers now doubt that Merkel's father (the only man on record who defected from West to East Germany) was a Stasi social spy and part-time organiser.

Unless this hyperbole through western nationalist eyes it is clearly untrue. I know many people who chose to live there either for family or political or educational reasons. As a high ranking member of the Lutheren church he would have had a file on him the same way high ranking people in the Church of England have files on them by special branch and other agencies. The point is was it witting or unwitting collaboration? With so many western lost souls are flocking to the Islamic State why is it such a big a leap to think that others did not wish to do similar with other more progressive social movements?
Merkel's second husband was no doubt a western plant. And there is no doubt about who Merkel works for. Just look at her policies.
