Well, I thin k we can wave farewell to the Dickens file part of the story now that Brittan is dead.
And I see that Theresa May will now announce a new chairman for the inquiry by the end of the month. Job done!
This whole delayed inquiry has been a bloody joke, because the powers that be knew Brittan was dying. Why else choose two chairwomen, both of whom were tainted by personal and business relationships with Brittan?
It was all to delay, delay, delay. When he died, everyone wiped the perspiration from their brows, heaved a sigh of relief for averting a possible disaster, and will now push on with the inquiry.
Not to be missed in all this is what I regard as a "fact" of one Home Secretary protecting a prior Home Secretary and in the process protecting her own political party and boss - David Cameron - from embarrassment for appointing Leon Brittan as a special advisor to him.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
