How should the DPF commemorate our one-year anniversary?

Ed Jewett Wrote:1) A small party... can do we do one as a digital community? .. with some delicious dessert featuring a single candle, a toasting liquid of choice, and perhaps a special thread on that day.

2) Some concerted effort on that day to let the rest of the world know of our existence as a resource or research tool... by the insertion of links into places...

3) Redoubled energies and brain-storming, or discussion about collaboration and focus, the future of the forum, etc.

I like these suggestions, Ed. With the different time zones it would likely be hard to have us all here at the same time...but we can try. Our presence on Facebook is growing, we have about 72 fans. I will be sure to make a specific note on 9/13 on my page suggesting that people should look at DPF, and why. As well as post about us at other sites. I think that we will grow by word of mouth, and also however one gets a post or thread to show up via google. I have no clue how that is accomplished but that is how I found EF in 04, by googling someone and one of the first hits I got was John's bio of that person at EF. When posting at other sites about us I think it would be important to note that, unlike other forums, ours is lacking in the sort of bickering and attacks one encounters on similiar forums.

ps Love the little birthday link at the top of DPF, Maggie or Myra...Yes indeed, happy birthday to us. May we live long and prosper Smile
