What we know so far
Police have brought their scheduled press conference forward to 8am local time; that's about 40 minutes away.
- Police have shot dead a person of interest near Nørrebro station in central Denmark about two hours ago after the man opened fire on officers. He was returning to an address that had been under police surveillance.
- It is not yet clear whether the man is behind the shootings at an art cafe and synagogue, which have rocked Copenhagen and left two people dead.
- A man who was shot multiple times outside Copenhagen's central synagogue in Krystalgade has died from his wounds. Two police officers were also shot but have survived. The deceased man is said to be a volunteer Jewish guard who was protecting a religious ceremony inside the Jewish centre.
- It not yet known whether the man behind the synagogue killing is the same person who fired a hail of bullets into an art cafe hosting the controversial Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, which left a 55-year-old man dead and three police officers wounded. Police have said they are "looking for two perpetrators".
- The toll from the last 24 hours stands at five wounded police officers and three deceased people - two of them members of the public and the other a person of interest shot dead by police.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
