"Police investigating the Germanwings crash said tonight they had made a 'significant discovery' at the home of pilot Andreas Lubitz, who deliberately ploughed the Airbus A320 into the French Alps. Officers refused to reveal details of the potential breakthrough but said it was not a suicide note. Speaking outside the flat on the outskirts of Dusseldorf, police said they had 'found something' that would now be taken for tests, adding it may be a 'clue' as to what happened to the doomed jet."
The rapid release of 'information' on this case is unusual. It seems to be both pressure from the airlines to calm all potential passengers and due to differences in French law when criminal action as the cause of an accident occurs. There was also a huge unauthorized leak to the NYT by someone within the investigation who shouldn't have done so - it was criminal act, if not one that will have great consequence, IMO. Now, the Germans are also breaking with usual protocol and giving big hints....all very strange...not sinister, but strange. I would also note that more 'grief' is being expressed in the media IMO over the loss of life for mostly Europeans than was shown when planes full of mostly Asians were lost.
Oh, yes, one more unconfirmed, but easy to find rumor - he might have just broken up with his boyfriend! [with which he sometimes lived and was seen being escorted away by the Police] .....the early release [by police and officials] of information/rumors/speculation is very strange.
Yet one more bit 'o speculation - that he was a body-building type who took lots of anabolic steroids, and they have been known to sometimes lead to psychological breaks.
Edit: 'boyfriend' has changed to 'girlfriend'...can't explain.
