I've only just gotten around to reading this thread opener. Talk about blowing your mind!
I'm right in the middle of Martin Lee's 'Acid Dreams' too, so it was something of a double whammy.
It takes some digesting so, no other comment to make right now, other than that you'd have to be blind stupid not to recognise the vast unaccountable power of the SIS's and the ruthless machiavellian purpose with which it has been (and undoubtedly still is) wielded through the post WWII era.
